However, it was in the semis that Drinkwater truly shone. He delivered his best performance of the day, clocking in at 4.077 seconds with a speed of 177.58, advancing to the finals by leaving No. 1 qualifier John DeFlorian in his dust.
Chris Powers, despite starting from the seventh position, showcased his resilience and racing prowess. He rebounded from a challenging first-round run to ultimately reach the semifinals.
