Diamond Mowers STD16 side boom. Runs on 540 pto. Has electronic joystick controls. 16’ of reach. 40 gal hydraulic tank. Factor added option of hydraulic cooler. 3-point connect. Connects and disconnects from tractor in about 15 min. 1. Manual says it needs 60 pto Hp. It takes very little HP from the tractor. I have ran it on a 90hp and 115hp and always use economy pto to save fuel. It gets its power from its own pump. 2. Manual suggest a 6,000 pound tractor or larger. 3. Entire setup weighs 2,506 pounds with the head on it. 4. My first tractor I ran it on I didn’t have any kind of cage. The debris shoots away from the cutter. I’ll send a pic of that tractor. The tractor with the cage is because I had a pto powered FAE forestry mulcher for that tractor, not because I needs it for the side boom. If he is running an open station tractor he may want a simple side screen but with a cab I never had an issue. 5. It simply hooks to 3-point. Takes about 20 min with two guys, 30 min by yourself. The silver bars are adjustable and make sure there’s absolutely no sway and it keeps the load balanced so more weight is not on the right lift arm. They keep it all even.
